Romantic Downtown Winston-Salem Couples Session

Updated: Jan 27

Tayler & Justin braved the December weather for this session in downtown Winston Salem! These two had never explored downtown Winston Salem before and they were pleasantly surprised! Tayler & Justin tied the knot in October 2022 and the newlywed romance was in the air. Their session was full of fun and laughter! Tayler is a photographer, so check out her work!

Since it was chilly and breezy, we started out with coffee from Camino Bakery on fourth street. Camino is a cozy spot for studying or a first date and it is in the middle of downtown, within walking distance to many great shops and restaurants! After coffee, we headed to Bailey Park where we made two stops: the coal pit and the top of the parking deck next door. The coal pit is part of the Bailey Power Plant that was originally constructed in 1947. It housed the coal that fueled the manufacturing at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Learn more about the Coal Pit at Innovation Quarter here. The last stop was the parking deck next door with the Winston Salem skyline on display. The golden hour light was so pretty!

I love living in Winston Salem and exploring new places as the city grows. Taking couples to the best photo spots is so much fun! Reach out if you’re ready to schedule your engagement or couples session today!
